“Uniform Distribution: A Constant Probability in Rectangular Form”
All values in the range have equal chances to show up. ( Equal Probability of Occurrences )
In statistics, uniform distribution refers to a continuous probability distribution in which all outcomes are equally likely or more specifically where every possible outcome has an equal chance of occurring and this means that it takes values within a specified range, e.g. between 1 and 6.
Example: — When you roll a fair die, the outcomes are 1 to 6.
The probabilities of getting these outcomes are equally likely and that is the basis of a uniform distribution.
A deck of cards has within it uniform distributions because the likelihood of drawing a heart, a club, a diamond, or a spade is equally likely.
OR
A coin also has a uniform distribution expectation because the odds of getting either heads or tails (front or back of the coin) in a coin toss are the same.
